Johannesburg, South Africa; 9 March 2016: Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment and communications group, today confirmed that it will host its exclusive 9th Ai CEO Infrastructure Investment Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, on 9-10 May 2016. The Summit is a unique investor engagement forum for Africa’s most prominent project developers, institutional investors, pension and sovereign wealth funds and financiers to engage at the decision-making level.
This invitation-only CEO Summit for infrastructure investment leaders will allow developers with vetted projects to pitch to and engage investment and commercial partners. Infrastructure financiers and investors will, in turn, be able review a number of investable infrastructure projects that centre on African priority sectors, namely Energy, Renewables, Transport, Water and ICT, etc. This Ai Summit will therefore provide financiers and contractors with early project access.
Commenting on the Summit, Hubert Danso, CEO and Vice Chairman of Africa investor, said; “African infrastructure remains a unique and globally competitive investable asset class. The Summit will bring together the best of Africa’s projects with institutional investors, such as pension and sovereign wealth funds and leading strategic financiers, to advance a unique portfolio of vetted and de-risked African infrastructure investment opportunities.”
This Ai Summit is a two-day event. The first day is an invitation-only CEO-level Summit, the Ai CEO Infrastructure Project Developers Summit, which will be dedicated to project developers, will showcase a range of co-development project opportunities and investable sector-specific projects and address industry-related issues. The second day, the Ai CEO Infrastructure Investment Summit, will convene African pension and sovereign wealth funds and institutional infrastructure investors to share and explore opportunities and participate in a series of one-on-one investor meetings facilitated by Africa investor throughout the day.
The Summit will also host the prestigious 2016 Ai Infrastructure Investment and Project Developer Awards ceremonies. The Ai Awards are a platform for investors in Africa’s fast-growing infrastructure sectors to measure and recognise their performance and achievements globally.
