Johannesburg, South Africa; 18 March 2016: Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment and communications group, today announced that the Honourable Elizabeth Dipuo-Peters, Minister of Transport of South Africa, will speak at the Ai CEO Infrastructure Investment Roadshow, to be held on 9-10 May 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
South Africa’s transport sector is the backbone to its economic growth and a key element of the country’s global competitiveness. The country has some of the best transport networks on the continent but more investment is needed if the country is to stay ahead of its African and Asian competitors. The Department of Transport’s Minister Dipuo-Peters has called on the private and public sector to work together to improve transport in the country.

The exclusive Ai CEO Infrastructure Investment Roadshow will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 9-10 May 2016. The Roadshow will be a unique investor engagement forum for Africa’s most prominent project developers, institutional investors, pension and sovereign wealth funds and financiers to engage at the decision-making level.
This Ai Roadshow is a two-day event. The first day is an invitation-only CEO-level Summit, the Ai CEO Infrastructure Project Developers Summit, which will be dedicated to project developers, will showcase a range of co-development project opportunities and investable sector-specific projects and address industry-related issues. The second day, the Ai CEO Infrastructure Investment Summit, will convene African pension and sovereign wealth funds and institutional infrastructure investors to share and explore opportunities and participate in a series of one-on-one investor meetings facilitated by Africa investor throughout the day.
